Evolve Bank & Trust Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Evolve Bank & Trust began in June of 1925 when the bank, then known as First State Bank, assumed the role as the primary financial institution in eastern Cross County, Arkansas. The bank provided essential capital for the unprecedented growth and improvement of the agricultural sector and general development of the area. In a few short years, the bank became known for its positive and firmly established banking practices and became renowned as the county’s most prominent banking institution. In fewer than thirty years, the bank’s resources increased more than forty times greater over what they were when the bank was established.

An employee hsared this in a areview, "If you wanna leave your job regretting you ever applied then this is the place for you. Management is terrible and they do not care about their employees. Training is terrible and they get upset with you make mistakes. THERE IS NOT WORK/ LIFE BALANCE!! Overall if I could give this company a -5 I would."

Sr. Loan Officer (Former Employee) says

"The Branch manager was very shady and did not follow the rules put in place by the CFPB. Compensation for self gen business was not adequate for the work."

Sr. Mortgage Professional (Former Employee) says

"just get away from this outfit, is a broker shop, you got to have your own book of business, The leads you get is over a year or older, there is no training or plan, you just walk in and expect to start producing, unless you have a book of business, don't get fool on interview. Cons: everything"

Mortgage Banker (Former Employee) says

"Compensation plans change continuously, no marketing material is provided to help you to gain business. But the company emphasizes they will help you yeah right that's bs. The income is terrible Cons: Lack"

Sr Processor (Former Employee) says

"The only reason I left was due to an opportunity that sounded too good to pass up.. My bosses were excellent, the main headquarters were excellent at offering support and education . Cons: Healthcare was a bit expensive"

Loan Processor (Former Employee) says

"This has got to be one of the most horrible places I have ever worked. I was contacted by the branch manager to come and work for him as a processor. Little did I know that it was not the only thing I would be doing. He hired me on 7/14/14 just to lay me off today because he has no idea what he is doing and is possibly breaking the law. I left a job that I could have stayed at to come work for him and found out that he is a control freak who will not allow you to do your job properly. He records you without your knowledge and did not give me the proper amount of time to learn my job. Not to mention that he completely underpaid me for the experience I have but I wanted to get back into the mortgage business so I stupidly took it. DO NOT work for this company!! Cons: Everything!"

Processing (Former Employee) says

"Evolve Bank & Trust is a horrible place to work. The Greenwood Village office is the most disorganized office – the Branch Manager does nothing and the main processor is the worst - she will cry, go off the deep end - slamming doors, yelling and screaming - it is her way or the highway. They do not follow RESPA Regulations - they make up their own rules. Working in this office is your worst nightmare!!! Cons: See comments - horrible place to work"

Training is terrible and they get upset with you make mistakes. THERE IS NOT WORK/ LIFE BALANCE!! Overall if I could give this company a -5 I would. Cons: Management"

Loan Processor (Former Employee) says

"Run! The branch manager of the Greenwood Village office is shady!!! I was the first processor hired for the Greenwood Village office. I was expected to do things that were unethical and outright illegal. It was expected of me to do the loan applications .. including rates and fees that should have been discussed by a licensed loan officer.. not an unlicensed processor! I was told I would be paid salary plus bonus... didn't happen! I stuck it out for about 5 months thinking it would get better... never happened! I had to call the labor department and file a complaint to get paid! Good points ... hmmm.. I could work whatever hours I wanted because they had virtually no pipeline! And made zero effort to bring in new deals! Don't trust management's promises! Especially when it comes to pay!!! Be warned!!!! Cons: Doesn't pay what they promise!"

Loan officer (Former Employee) says

"The Greenwood Village office is a joke - office is not managed, the branch managers loans close and take priority over everyone else, horrible processing - no structure - very rude processors. would not work in this office. Don't be misled my the lies of the branch manager"

Mortgage Underwriter (Former Employee) says

"The bank side of Evolve Bank & Trust is a great place to work, but if offered do not move to the mortgage side to make more money. Banks operate their actual bank, and the mortgage division separately. Cons: Do not move to the mortgage division, they will expect you to work day, and night. Come in on Sundays, and do nothing outside the office. I was discourage from volunteer work."

Employee (Former Employee) says

"This is the worst place i have ever worked. The branch manager is sexist, greedy, demeaning, and incompetent SOB. The branch manager will make you do all of his work or he will limit the leads you get. He does not pay any bonuses he constantly says he will give. He literally put his name on another Loan Officers loan to collect the compensation and then denied the whole thing when corporate inquired. He constantly puts his employees down especially women. He will tell potential employees anything to get them in the door and then deny ever saying anything. The corporate office says they will require necessary training for every position and then say its on the branch manager to provide which he does not. The branch manager acts like he knows it all but can barley fill out peoples names on loan applications. All the corporate higher ups say they have an open door policy, but then when you contact them you get ridiculed and put down by your branch manager. The branch manager admittedly said he restricts his employees work flow so they cant make more in commission than he is willing to pay. He will make sure you only gain experience in loans that he knows you couldn't take the experience elsewhere just so he can keep people. I have only been there about three months and six people have already quit and its only been open about two years with no more than five employees at one time. He literally tells his employees that the only reason people quit is because they’re greedy or they cant do their jobs when in fact the most qualified people soon quit after months of putting up with"

Processor (Former Employee) says

"don't bother, poor management. out for themselves, money hungry and will throw you under the bus in a second to look good"

Mortgage Closing , MDD and Processing (Former Employee) says

"The low level employees are the ones who should be recognized, but are NOT. Cons: Mortgage needs to be looked into Seriously!!"

Senior Accountant (Laid Off) says

"The work culture is family oriented . Blacks are not treated fair. Favorism in the worst way."

REMOTE SR. LOAN PROCESSOR (Former Employee) says

"The staff at the corporate headquarters were great to work with and very helpful. Their Encompass structure is set up quite simple as well as their corp. site."

Corporate Employee (Current Employee) says

"family oriented culture, little room for career growth or learning so far, divisions of bank are very segregated so it makes communication hard or knowing when a process has changed, bosses do care about your personal life and needs (needing to leave for a family emergency or work remotely if you ask to), majority of the people are very friendly. but don't question your authorities. morale and culture has changed drastically in the last year so have to be careful who to trust. lots of politics in the hierarchy. some have to take on more work than others with similar pay so expect to be spread thin. benefits are great and corporate events are offered frequently (always lots of food!) and allow you to bring your significant other or family. overall good place to work. covered parking and nice office."

Lead trainer (Current Employee) says

"The goals and methods seem to change with the winds. Multiple management changes in the mortgage dept have altered the direction of the company numerous times. Solid short term platform limited ability to grow with technology lagging behind industry standards"

Mortgage Banker / Loan Officer (Former Employee) says

"Evolve was a great place since i did not have an NMLS licence at the time, however Evolve gave me the ability to originate loans in all 50 states without taking the NMLS test to get my licence, so i was originating loans through the bank , bwithout having to take my NMLS test to get my licence to originate mortgages. Cons: Dont take any days off"

Closer (Former Employee) says

"Your co-workers are awesome. The managers don't exactly give you the tools you need to succeed at all. Advancement is close to impossible unless your are related to someone high up or are a pet or someone they know. It is a family business so keep that in mind. If you want a job where you come in and do your work and need no goals and have no desire to advance then this is the job for you. If though you need a challenge and want regular growth then do yourself a favor and go elsewhere."

Alisha Brubaker says

"I downloaded the app, opened a "wallet" and went through all the steps required. I was given wire instructions so as to fund my wallet and I initiated the wire through my bank on April 21, 2020. ABRA doesn't charge a fee for the incoming wire, but I was still charged a fee by my bank to send it. After 10 business days, my money was still not showing in my wallet. I sent a message to ABRA to track it down. They claimed that my wallet had been restricted before the wire date. News to me. I had to reach out to ABRA several times as they were not updating me - customer service is horrible. I finally contacted Evolve Bank & Trust (on wire instructions) to track down my money. I was told, with the info I provided, that they could see the money come in, but since my wallet was restricted, I could not access it. If a wallet is restricted, don't provide wire instructions! The short story is that ABRA had almost $10k for a full month and finally sent it back to me when I started dropping the words "fraud" and "escalating this situation". After a month, I finally had my money back, but I had lost prime investing opportunities as well as being out the $20 fee for wiring it in the first place. In my opinion, they're lousy crooks who used my money for a month. And a side note, their app does NOT have a 5-star rating."

Ebony Leigh Andrewa says

"Very bad experience. They sent my funds to a different address and up until now which is two weeks later. Thanks God they still haven't provided me with my funds back. Have verified with them at first if they sent my money to the correct wallet and they keep insisting that they have done so. Fortunately, with the help of a friend we were able to know to that my money was sent to another's person's wallet. Until now they keep me hanging and I don't have any effin idea when are they going to give me my money back. In a matter of minutes my funds were gone and I need to wait for how long, God only knows when to they will give me my money back"

ccs rick says

"Avoid them like the plague. When I joined they had live support, as their scam crumbled there was no way to contact them out side of ignored dead end emails. You can buy hundreds to thousands of some crypto-currencies for a dollar or pennies, but if you try to diversify they will refuse to allow you to sell any small lots, keeping/stealing your investments with no way to get your funds or even discuss the situation. Total scam."

Ammar Al Dewani says

"I doubt that you have qualified HR Team , Please recheck them and check the talents that they already send you their CV's and wasted their time for NOTHING ! Super Poor HR Recruitment team ! their email reply was [ Thank you for your interest in the Remote Customer Service position at ABRA in 94043, Mountain View, California, United States. Unfortunately, we will not be moving forward with your application, but we appreciate your time and interest in ABRA. Regards, ABRA ]"
